Welcome to The-Way Ministry! I’m Jesus T. Gonzales (writing as Tomas).

This blog and ministry exist at the creative and spiritual intersection where ancient texts meet historical context and narrative imagination. We often hear about the importance of daily Scripture reading. Yet, without deep understanding and clear discernment, the Bible can easily feel overwhelming or hollow.

I created this space to help bridge the gap between the black-and-white ink on the page and the vibrant, complex lives of those who walked before us. Beginning with the unsung heroines of the Old Testament (starting with Eve) and continuing into the Gospels, we work through Scripture topic by topic. By breaking down complex truths, our goal is to help you walk more closely in the way, the truth, and the light of Christ Jesus—just as the Apostles taught.

• Narrative Reimagining: Through creative storytelling, we explore the inner lives and journeys of figures like Eve, Hagar, Sarah, and Tamar.

How We Study

On The-Way, we don’t treat the Bible merely as an ancient history book; we study it as a Living Tapestry. Our approach rests on three pillars:

1. Historical Legalities: Examining ancient laws and customs (such as the Kinsman-Redeemer) to reveal the heart of God’s justice and mercy.
2. Messianic Threads: Tracing the shadow, promise, and foreshadowing of Christ throughout the Old Testament.
3. Personal Parallels: Connecting biblical "wilderness" experiences to our modern daily lives to help us navigate the road home.

Behind the Pen

I am Tomas—a person with flaws and struggles like anyone else, led by the Spirit of Christ.

Based in Texas, I am a writer and digital creator. My work on The-Way is the culmination of a lifelong journey of faith and a passion for the written word. I deeply believe that by humanizing these historical narratives and keeping Christ at the center, we can find clearer paths for our own lives today.

When I’m not researching a new study or refining a draft, you’ll usually find me behind a camera lens, capturing the natural world or spending quality time with my family and community.
